On a summer evening in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the life of 19-year-old Charles Lamont Boyd Jr. was tragically cut short. On July 15, 2014, the young Black man was fatally shot in an incident that also resulted in another person being injured. The shooting took place on West 13th Street, and when North Little Rock police were dispatched to the scene around 8 p.m., they found Boyd, who was then rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
