In the late hours of a summer night in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the life of 24-year-old Berlandrick Keobry O’Neal Bass was tragically cut short. On August 14, 2015, just after midnight, the young Black man was fatally shot near the intersection of 5th Street and Washington Street. His body was later discovered inside a vehicle close to Hudson Park, a grim end to a life that was just beginning to unfold.
