On May 14, 2016, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Pine Bluff police officers responded to reports of gunfire at 1900 South Poplar Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Andre Eason unresponsive on the floor of the residence; he was later pronounced dead by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
