In the summer of 2024, the city of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was struck by a wave of violence that began with the death of 20-year-old Corey Berrien. On Sunday, June 16, 2024, a shooting incident occurred at Saracen Landing, a waterfront park in Pine Bluff. In the chaos that ensued, four people were shot. Corey Berrien was fatally wounded in the attack, marking the beginning of a grim period for the city.
