On the evening of July 11, 2019, a tragic event unfolded at The Ridge apartment complex on West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock, Arkansas, forever altering the lives of a local family. Jarvis Cherron Kolen Jr., a 19-year-old male, was discovered on a sidewalk in front of the complex, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The North Little Rock Police Department received a 911 call reporting the shooting at approximately 9:25 p.m. and dispatched officers to the scene.
