On May 4, 2020, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Pine Bluff police officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of 33rd Avenue and Hazel Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Elvis Kendal inside a vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
