On a tragic day in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the lives of a mother and daughter were cut short in a devastating act of violence. Deborah Debbie Henderson Allen, a 61-year-old woman, was killed on November 18, 2020. Her death was the result of a shooting that also claimed the life of her 31-year-old daughter, Amanda DeWitt.
The events of that day unfolded as a murder-suicide perpetrated by Amanda's ex-husband.
After fatally shooting both his former wife and his mother-in-law, the suspect then took his own life. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, where they discovered the three bodies.
As the incident was determined to be a murder-suicide, the suspect in the deaths of Deborah Allen and Amanda DeWitt was also deceased at the scene. Consequently, there were no arrests to be made in connection with the killings. The investigation concluded that the perpetrator was solely responsible for the tragic loss of life before ending his own.
