In the early morning hours of August 8, 2020, the life of Shameka Nicole Stewart, a 42-year-old Black female from North Little Rock, Arkansas, was tragically cut short. At approximately 3:34 a.m., North Little Rock Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of West 25th Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Stewart lying in the roadway, having sustained gunshot wounds.
Despite the immediate medical attention she received, her injuries proved fatal, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
