In North Little Rock, Arkansas, a tragic event unfolded on the evening of March 29, 2021, leading to the death of 13-year-old Arianna Christian Staggers. The young female was discovered by officers inside a residence on Healy Street around 5:30 p.m. Following the discovery, the North Little Rock Police Department initiated a homicide investigation.
Detectives began processing the scene for evidence and conducting interviews to piece together the circumstances of her death.
The investigation led them to identify a suspect, Tahmarcus Deshon Stewart, who was 17 at the time. A warrant for first-degree murder was issued for his arrest in connection with Arianna's death.
The search for Stewart concluded on June 24, 2021, when he was apprehended in Arlington, Texas. Members of the Arlington Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and arrested him at an apartment complex where he had been hiding. After days of surveillance, Stewart was taken into custody without incident and awaited extradition back to Arkansas to face charges.
