In the late afternoon of a Thursday in North Little Rock, Arkansas, a fatal encounter unfolded at the Villas of Country Club apartments. On March 27, 2025, Kristina Knotts-Schwegel, a 50-year-old female employee of the apartment complex, was shot. The North Little Rock Police Department received a call about the shooting at approximately 4:00 p.m. and dispatched officers to the scene on Richsmith Lane.
