In the early morning hours of January 8, 2021, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 1500 block of Allen Street in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Responding to the call, police officers arrived at approximately 8:51 a.m. to a grim discovery. On the front porch of a residence lay the body of 44-year-old Terrance Jermaine Harris, a Black male who had sustained at least one fatal gunshot wound.
His body was later transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy and positive identification.
The investigation into the death of Terrance Jermaine Harris quickly led detectives to identify two persons of interest. The focus of the investigation turned to 19-year-old identical twin sisters, Chamisha and Chamacia Rogers of North Little Rock. Authorities revealed that in addition to being sought for questioning in Harris's death, both women had active warrants for aggravated robbery in connection with a separate incident that occurred in the city.
As the investigation continued, the North Little Rock Police Department appealed to the public for assistance in locating the Rogers twins. Detectives urged anyone with information regarding their whereabouts or any other details pertinent to the case to come forward, assuring that informants could remain anonymous. The case drew media attention, highlighting the search for the identical twin sisters in connection with the fatal shooting. Despite the public pleas and ongoing investigation, the twins remained at large.
