On May 28, 2014, Earnest "Butch" Kennedy, a 64-year-old Vietnam War veteran and certified public accountant from North Little Rock, Arkansas, was found murdered in his home on Locust Street. Kennedy had been a resident of the area for 35 years and was known for his dedication to his family and community. His daughter, Leslie Suggs, described him as a hardworking man who was deeply involved in his family's lives.
