On February 14, 2017, at approximately 3:25 a.m., 26-year-old Jessee Wade Arthur from Springfield, Missouri, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel on McCain Park Drive in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Officers arrived to find Arthur lying on the ground with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was believed to be a robbery that escalated to murder.
