On January 7, 1982, Patrolman Jerry C. Davis, a 26-year-old officer with the North Little Rock Police Department in Arkansas, was fatally shot while responding to a domestic disturbance on Healy Street. Upon arrival, Davis and his partner were greeted by a male subject who claimed there was no disturbance and that their assistance was unnecessary.
