In the evening hours of a Thursday in North Little Rock, Arkansas, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of the 5300 block of Summertree Drive. When police officers arrived at the scene around 8:09 p.m. on September 21, 2017, they discovered 26-year-old Dwight Johnson on the ground, having been shot.

Emergency medical services transported Johnson to Baptist Memorial Hospital in an effort to save his life. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The i ...
