On July 16, 2018, 22-year-old Armand van Tonder was fatally shot at a skate park on River Road in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The incident occurred in the early morning hours during what police described as an aggravated robbery that escalated into homicide. Van Tonder was pronounced dead at the scene, while another individual sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
