On November 26, 2021, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Helena-West Helena police responded to a shooting at 1113 Highway 49 West. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Eddie Trancy and his cousin, 18-year-old Avin Redmon, inside a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. Both individuals had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Phillips County Coroner.
