On November 26, 2024, 60-year-old Mikel Dwayne Booker was fatally shot in West Helena, Arkansas. The incident occurred near a motel, culminating at the entrance of an O’Reilly Auto Parts store, where Booker succumbed to his injuries. The altercation leading to the shooting reportedly began in front of the motel and escalated to the auto parts store's doorway.
