On August 8, 2022, at approximately 4 a.m., Helena-West Helena Police Department officers responded to a shooting at 1205 Highway 49 in West Helena, Arkansas. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Demarcius Antonius Foreman lying unresponsive in a bedroom within the apartment, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Phillips County Coroner pronounced Foreman dead at the scene.
