On November 26, 2021, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Helena-West Helena police responded to a shooting incident at 1113 U.S. Highway 49 West. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Avin Redmon and 21-year-old Eddie Trancy inside a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene by the Phillips County Coroner.
