On July 21, 2020, Samuel Chatman, a 78-year-old resident of West Helena, Arkansas, was fatally shot outside the Ladino Market, a convenience store located at 301 Ladino Street. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m., following an argument between Chatman and 57-year-old Curtis Holder inside the store.
