On a summer day in Phillips, Nebraska, a dispute over racehorses escalated into a tragedy that claimed two lives. On July 26, 1993, 55-year-old Clyde Lee Brandon, a male, was killed by gunfire. Also killed in the incident was 33-year-old Kathleen K. Saner Brandon.
