On the evening of December 7, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Racine, Wisconsin neighborhood, leaving a 41-year-old Black / African American man, Jeffrey Darrell Garrott, dead. Originally from Illinois, Garrott was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Villa Street.
