In the early morning hours of November 30, 2019, a dispute over a small amount of marijuana tragically escalated, ending the life of 24-year-old John Buess-Wheeler, a Caucasian male from Augusta, Kansas. The night began with a gathering at a Wichita apartment located at 1212 S. Main, where Buess-Wheeler and a friend were visiting two women and the apartment's resident, 20-year-old Carver Khalid Soliman.
