In the crisp autumn air of October 30, 2021, the life of 17-year-old Diego Benitez was tragically cut short in Wichita, Kansas. A junior at Wichita West High School, the young man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of West Walker. The shooting, which occurred around 7 p.m., was not a random act of violence, according to investigators.
