On December 14, 2024, at approximately 1:21 p.m., officers from the Richmond Police Department responded to a reported robbery in the 3600 block of Richmond Highway. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Wesley Jefferson of Richmond lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. Jefferson was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
