On November 24, 2024, 39-year-old Hwarang Joo, owner of Hot Stuff Chicken in Antioch, Tennessee, was fatally shot as he left his restaurant. As he sat in his Volkswagen SUV in the parking lot of the Mill Creek Village shopping center on Bell Road, gunfire erupted, striking him in the head. His vehicle then accelerated and crashed into a nearby dental office, causing significant damage.
