In the late summer of 2014, a quiet evening in an Antioch, Tennessee, home was shattered by sudden violence that would claim the life of 48-year-old Charles Peterson IV. On the morning of August 30, 2014, Peterson and his then-70-year-old mother were watching television when the power to their house abruptly cut out. Peterson went to the garage to check the circuit breaker, a seemingly routine act that would prove to be his last. His mother then heard the chilling sound of gunshots.
