In the late afternoon of a summer day, the life of 18-year-old Jeremiah Brown was tragically cut short. On July 14, 2025, the recent graduate of Cane Ridge High School was in the parking lot of a Starbucks on Hickory Hollow Parkway in Antioch, Tennessee. An argument reportedly broke out just before gunfire echoed through the area around 4:20 p.m. Brown, a Black male, had been in a vehicle with two other individuals and had just stepped out when the fatal confrontation occurred.
