On Thanksgiving Day in 2020, friends of Cedarius Deon McCorry grew concerned when they were unable to reach the 30-year-old man. Their concern led them to his home on Rice Hill Circle in Antioch, Tennessee, where they made a grim discovery. Inside, McCorry and his 20-year-old cousin, Markarius Perry, were found shot to death. Both men lived at the residence where their bodies were discovered.
Investigators believe the double homicide was not a random act of violence, but rather a
targeted event. It is thought that the murders likely occurred on the night of Wednesday, November 25, 2020. The scene within the home suggested a potential drug connection to the crime. Detectives found a quantity of marijuana, pills, digital scales, and several thousand dollars in cash.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has been handling the investigation into the deaths of McCorry and Perry. They have publicly asked for assistance from the community, encouraging anyone with information about the person or persons responsible for the double homicide to come forward. A cash reward has been offered for information that leads to a resolution in the case. As of now, the investigation remains ongoing.
