On a Monday evening, November 11, 2024, the breezeway of the Novo Hickory Highlands Apartments on Rural Hill Road in Antioch, Tennessee, became the scene of a fatal shooting. Jacori D. Wynn, a 28-year-old man, was discovered by South Precinct officers around 8:00 PM suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the chest. Emergency responders provided immediate medical care before rushing him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after
arrival.
The Metro Nashville Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the shooting. Detectives are exploring a potential drug-related motive for the killing. It was reported that prior to the shooting, Wynn had been inside an apartment within the 300 building of the complex. Authorities have not yet released any information about potential suspects, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues to seek leads.
Wynn was also known as an up-and-coming rapper from south Nashville under the name 'CG Montana'. His death has been noted as a loss to the local music community.
