In the early hours of Thursday, April 2, 2026, a late-night visit in Antioch, Tennessee, turned deadly for 28-year-old Terry Coleman. The events unfolded just after 12:30 a.m. at an apartment on Harper Ridge Place, where Coleman was visiting a woman he had recently met. An argument that began outside the apartment escalated and moved indoors. Inside the residence, the confrontation took a violent turn when a man, later identified as 23-year-old Jordan Jackson, brandished a firearm.
Tragically, Jackson shot Coleman multiple times. The shooting occurred while Jackson's children were present in the home. Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene. In the immediate aftermath, the suspect fled the location, prompting a search by law enforcement. The investigation quickly pointed to Jackson as the primary suspect.
Later that same day, through a coordinated effort between the Metro Nashville Police Department and the Knoxville Police Department, Jordan Jackson was located and apprehended at a residence in East Knoxville.
