On a February evening in Antioch, Tennessee, a 34-year-old male named Steven Ross Yates was fatally shot outside of his workplace. The incident, which took place at a candle manufacturing company on Old Franklin Road, was later determined by investigators to be a targeted event. Yates, a resident of Mt. Juliet, was discovered in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.

The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed towards a drug-related robbery as the motive. Detectives identified two ...
