A 9-1-1 call was made just around 6 a.m. Thursday, reporting an injured person on the side of the road.

When officers arrived at the scene near 29th Avenue and Northern, they found the victim laying on the ground.

"I heard vehicles out here," Sandra Virgil, a neighbor, said. "I didn't get to look and I told my sister. The one time I don't look because a lot of times, people just stop here and they wait a while for their drug connection."
