The perpetrator was identified as Robert Wayne Danielson Jr., a serial killer whose violent spree spanned from 1970 to 1982 across Arizona, Oregon, and California. Danielson, a white male, was known to target his victims through shooting. After an extensive manhunt, Robert Wayne Danielson Jr. was finally apprehended on April 6, 1984. His capture brought an end to the fear that had gripped communities across multiple states. Danielson was ultimately convicted for his numerous crimes, including the murders of Betty and Harold Pratt. He received a death sentence in California and life imprisonment in Oregon for his heinous acts.
