On December 21, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., 33-year-old William Alex Breeden III of Wagram, North Carolina, was fatally shot at the Clinton Inn located at 1609 U.S. 401 South in Laurinburg. According to reports, Breeden informed his family that he was stepping out to go to the store. Shortly after he exited his room, his family members heard gunshots. Breeden then re-entered the room, stating that he had been shot. He was promptly transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital, where he succumb ...
