Kevonte Jarrell McBryde, a 17-year-old resident of Laurinburg, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2024, in a shooting incident at the Greenfield Apartments. The Laurinburg Police Department responded to reports of a gunshot victim at approximately 6 p.m. that Saturday evening. Upon arrival, officers found McBryde with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital by Scotland County EMS, where he was later pronounced deceased.
