Susan Lynn Spiller, a 68-year-old White woman, was found dead on July 16, 2015, inside her home on the 5100 block of Dupont Avenue North in Minneapolis after police were sent there for a welfare check and discovered signs of forced entry. In life she was widely remembered in local coverage as an artist and neighborhood activist, someone known on the North Side not just for her work but for the way she threw herself into community causes.
