Susan Lynn Spiller, a 68-year-old artist and community activist, was found murdered in her Minneapolis home on July 16, 2015. Spiller, known for her work in the community, was brutally attacked in what appeared to be a violent home invasion. The case remained unsolved for several years until a breakthrough in 2019 when Demetrius Wynne, who was just 14 at the time of the murder, was arrested following a fingerprint match from the crime scene. In 2022, Wynne was convicted of second-degree murder.
