On December 24, 2024, at approximately 5:39 p.m., deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Nettie Drive in Shannon, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered Curtis Lee Locklear, 55, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby medical center but later succumbed to his injuries.
