In the quiet community of Shannon, North Carolina, a life was tragically cut short on the evening of Saturday, February 7, 2026. Seventeen-year-old Alexis Gonzalez was found deceased, the victim of a fatal shooting. The incident occurred in the area of Truck Lane, just outside of Rennert, where deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 7:00 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Gonzalez, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
