Death by Force

On February 5, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of Fodiesville Road in Shannon, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims: 31-year-old Lisa Marie Chavis, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 30-year-old Linnie B. Locklear Jr., who was transported to UNC Southeastern Medical Center. Despite medical efforts, Locklear Jr. succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
