In the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx, a dispute tragically cut short the life of 25-year-old Aneudy Santamaria, a male described by his family as introverted, happy, and someone who generally kept to himself. On a Saturday evening in late November 2024, an argument broke out outside of Santamaria's residence at 689 East 233rd Street. The verbal confrontation escalated to violence, and Santamaria was shot in the back.
