In the quiet community of Minden, Nevada, a tragedy unfolded on the morning of December 16, 2024, ending the life of 63-year-old Kathy Jean Weiland. A female, Weiland was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound inside a residence on Dennis Street in the Johnson Lane area. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at approximately 11:07 a.m. regarding a man with a gunshot wound, and upon their arrival, they found a grim scene.
