On February 2, 2018, a tragic incident occurred in North Las Vegas, resulting in the deaths of 43-year-old Michelle Dupree and 31-year-old Charles Brooks Jr. The two victims were shot and killed at the Colonial Grand at Desert Vista apartments, located at 3305 E. Rome Blvd. in North Las Vegas. According to the Clark County coroner's office, both Dupree and Brooks died from multiple gunshot wounds, and their deaths were ruled as homicides.
