On February 20, 1983, a family enjoying a day of four-wheeling in the rugged landscape of Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas, Nevada, made a grim discovery. The body of Norma Gonzales was found in the remote Brownstone Canyon area, bringing a devastating end to a search that had begun days earlier.
