Anna Munoz, a 59-year-old Hispanic female, was tragically killed on June 24, 2024, in a mass shooting at her apartment complex in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident, which unfolded at the Craig Ranch Villas, claimed the lives of four other people, including Munoz's daughter, Amy Munoz, and her grandson, Christopher Damian. Her 13-year-old granddaughter was also critically injured in the attack, suffering potential brain damage.
The gunman, identified as 47-year-old Eric Adams, was a
neighbor of the Munoz family. According to family members, Adams was known to the victims and had previously asked Anna for rides to work. The motive behind the devastating shooting spree remains unclear, though some reports suggest it may have stemmed from a domestic dispute within Adams' own apartment.
Following the shooting, a manhunt for Adams ensued. He was located by North Las Vegas police on the morning of June 25. As officers confronted him near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Balzar Avenue, Adams took his own life. The violent event has left the community in mourning and the Munoz family shattered by their immense loss.
