On November 23, 2024, 19-year-old Preston Bell was reportedly abducted from his residence in Independence, Missouri. Witnesses observed Bell being forcibly placed into his own black Chevrolet Malibu by multiple individuals around 8:30 p.m. Concerned family members reported him missing when he failed to return home.
The following day, November 24, Kansas City police responded to reports of a person slumped over in a vehicle near the southbound exit ramp of Interstate 435 at Truman Road.
