On March 7, 2024, 17-year-old Carlos Gonzalez and his friend, 19-year-old Kalob Ruth, were fatally shot in a wooded area within Kansas City, Missouri. Both individuals were transported by private vehicles to the University of Kansas Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
