On a Saturday night in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 7, 2020, a 38-year-old Hispanic male named Manuel Rodriguez-Garcia was shot and killed. The incident took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the area of East 24th Street and Chelsea Avenue.
According to reports from a couple of witnesses, Rodriguez-Garcia had been seen walking down the street, acting erratically. He reportedly approached a white vehicle and was seen talking to someone for a short period before he was shot.
When police officers arrived at the scene, the vehicle had already left. Rodriguez-Garcia was found deceased in the street.
Detectives and crime scene technicians were processing the scene late into the night. Authorities were also looking for any surveillance footage that might have captured the incident. No arrests have been announced in the case, and police have not released any information regarding a suspect.
