On November 24, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m., a shooting occurred near the intersection of Eighth and Carr Streets in the Columbus Square neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Among the victims was 26-year-old Damon M. Lawson from East St. Louis, Illinois, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
